Kari Kalve
After leaving St. Phil's in 1976 and Kennedy in 1980, I went on to graduate from the University of Washington in 1985 with Bachelors in esoteric fields. Then I moved into English and got a Masters at UC Berkeley and a PhD in medieval English literature at University of Wisconsin-Madison. I'm now teaching English at Earlham College in Indiana where the students are wonderful and the community is welcoming. I also regularly spend time in England doing research with medieval manuscripts, and I took a group of students to London for Spring semester, 2001. In working with sixth graders at a local middle school, I was relieved to discover I still remember enough math to help them with their homework.
