I graduated St. Phil's in 1993. I then went on to attend public school and graduated from Kentwood HS in 1997.

After graduation I spent one year at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. It was REALLY expensive, so I transferred to Central Washington University. As an undergrad I spent time studying in Beijing, China and Spain. I graduated with a BS in Sociology and a BA in Spanish.

I just recently completed a Graduate Degree in Social Work from Portland State University. I was married in July 2005 to Aaron Mathena (my best friend from high school's older brother). We are currently expecting our first baby in December. We live in Washington State, but are just thirty minutes from Portland, across the Columbia River. My husband is pretty modest, but I like to brag about the fact that he's a Captain in the Air Force and flies F-15s for the Oregon Guard. We started dating when he was a waiter at Red Robin, so I think I've earned some bragging rights.
