Kevin Hunziker

I attended St. Phil from 1963 to 1970. When the school first opened in 1963 I was in first grade. I was one of about eight students who went from first grade on opening day in 1963 all the way through eighth grade graduation 1970. I still remember our eighth grade graduation day. I have kept several class pictures and pretty much remember everyone's name. I have seen some of my fellow classmates on occasion.

After I left St. Phil., I attend Pacific Jr. High School for my 9th grade year then went on to Mt. Rainier High School. I graduated from Mt. Rainier High in 1975. After high school I worked in the Hotel industry for a while. Eventually I hired on at Boeing in 1979. I got caught up in the big layoff in 1981. After the layoff I started working at Sea-Tac airport where I met my future wife whom I married in 1985. We have two kids; a 13 year old boy, and 10 year old daughter. In April of 1988 I returned to Boeing and have been there ever since. I work in the Renton area, and I'm a Project Manager in the Boeing Commercial Airplane Division, Information Systems organization. I live in the Federal Way area. We attend Des Moines Gospel Chapel where my wife is the secretary. I also am a volunteer down at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. It is a shelter for the homeless. Some of my hobbies are Taekwondo which is a Korean Martial art. I have a 2nd degree black belt and I am one test away from my 3rd degree Black Belt. At one point I was also a Taekwondo Instructor and had my own martial art school (which I sold 2 years later). At one time, it was a family hobby, and my wife and son both got their Black Belts. Due to hectic schedules we no longer (as a family) are able to attend Taekwondo classes. I still study the martial arts on my own. I also enjoy body building and running.
